Pelican Bar
Visiting Floyd’s Pelican Bar in Negril, Jamaica is definitely something to brag about. Floyd’s Pelican Bar is a small bar made of driftwood stilted on a huge sandbar about ¾ mile out in the sea.
It has to be one of the most unique places to eat and have a drink in the entire world!
To get there you have to take a 20-minute boat ride to this rustic establishment in the middle of the ocean.
Once there you can sunbathe, swim in the shallow ocean water, drink a cold beer and eat some fresh lobster or fish (order food ahead of time.
Not a great swimmer? That’s okay because the water is only waist deep.
The atmosphere at Floyd’s Pelican Bar is truly a local one.
Black River Safari
The Black River Safari is one of Jamaica’s best known natural habitat and the country’s largest navigable river.
A tour on this nature lovers paradise will take you three miles up the river and back.
The over 100 species of beautifully plumed birds that made the Black River Safari home will always seems to bring one’s mind closer to how great creation is.
However, perhaps the most famous residence of the Black River Safari are the endangered crocodiles. This river is quite populated with the crocodiles ranging in all different sizes.
There are also a wide array of fresh water fish who find it quite favorable to occupy the Black River as well creating a perfect balance of wild life.
This is one of Jamaica’s best natural resources which keeps foreigners and locals amazed at the abundance of nature that is concentrated in this little spot.
YS Falls
It is a nature-based attraction offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the waterfalls surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent trees.
There are seven waterfalls, several which cascade into natural pools. Some areas are fairly rocky and do not allow swimming.
Lifeguards on site, indicate which areas are for swimming, however, being able to swim is a requirement.
There is a natural pool, fed by underground and above ground springs, which is more suitable for children and others unable to swim.
More recent additions to the attractions at YS Falls, include exhilarating canopy rides, which glide from the top of the falls to its base.

From there the tour takes visitors to the Distillery & Aging House where the different methods of distillation are shown. Visitors are then able to juice their own cane, sample white rum and boil "wet sugar".
